The 5-8, 145 Cole is single. His parents, Andy and Donella Elshere, are ranchers. He has a sister, Kami. His cousins J.J. and Ryan Elshere are PRCA saddle bronc riders, and he names J.J., a four-time Wrangler NFR qualifier, as his “rodeo idol.” He works on the family ranch when he is not on the road competing. He graduated from Faith (S.D.) High School in 2008 in a class of 15. Cole enjoys hunting, watching pro football and playing cribbage. His favorite rodeo is the Deadwood (S.D.) Days of ’76 because of its “hometown feel.” His favorite movie is Almost Heroes, favorite book is the Bible, favorite music is country and favorite meal is steak. His dream livestock draw is Burch Rodeo Company’s Lunatic Fringe.
